Housekeeping Floor Supervisor - Fixed Term

Job Summary

We are looking for a people focused yet technical and detail orientated team player who can work in a consistent and predictable pace and environment to supervisor Housekeeping Room Attendant Team.

Minimum Experience and Qualification required:

  • Grade 12; but a Hospitality Diploma would be advantageous
  • Must have at least 3 years Housekeeping experience in a 4/5* Hotel of which at least one year at Supervisory level
  • Knowledge of a Property Management System at Operator Level; exposure to Opera advantageous
  • Presentable
  • Good command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Xhosa and/or Afrikaans advantageous
  • Must be able to work shifts, week-ends and public holidays

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Ensure that every room is checked and updated on the PMS system as per SOP
  • Ensure that all allocated room attendants are managed to ensure that Room Attendant duties are completed and prioritized in accordance with arrival times
  • Check hourly on allocated section of public areas ensuring that it cleaned and maintained to the Hotel
  • Ensure that the storerooms are laid out and kept to the Hotel standard
  • Ensure that all vacuum cleaners are checked and in full working order
  • Check that linen is in a good state of repair before being utilized in a
  • Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported and follow-up that they are dealt with timeously
  • All aesthetics in the room are laid out as per the Owners’ standard
  • Assist with the monthly stock-take and the quarterly operating equipment count
  • Ensure thorough communication by holding a briefing with team every morning and afternoon.
