Evening Server

As Evening Server you will be responsible for quality and courteous service to the guests dining in the restaurant or attending a catering function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests at the door
  • Ensuring that the tables are set to the correct standard with all equipment spotlessly clean and polished
  • Ensuring that each station is set up and fully stocked and that it is maintained to a clean and tidy state
  • Familiar with all menu items available
  • Taking food and beverage orders from guests to the correct standard, up selling when appropriate
  • Ensuring all orders are delivered as quickly as possible and to the correct standard
  • Following up with dining guest at the appropriate time and handles any special request promptly
  • Clearing all used crockery promptly and ensure all cutlery and glassware at each stage of the meal to the correct standard
  • Offering and assisting guest with service of hot and cold items from the buffet when appropriate
  • Assisting with Silver Service catering functions
  • Performing duties as required for catering functions in The Library, The Boardroom, The Pavilion and room service
  • Answering the restaurant’s telephone when required, to the company standards, taking reservations and/or messages

The ideal candidate should:

  • Hotel experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience as a server, preferably in fine dining
  • Be eligible to work in the US
