Morning Server

As Morning Server you will be responsible for quality and courteous service to the guests dining in the restaurant or attending a catering function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests at the door of the restaurant
  • Ensures that the tables are set to the correct standard with all equipment spotlessly clean and polished
  • Ensures that each station is set up and fully stocked and that it is maintained to a clean and tidy state
  • Is familiar with menu items available
  • Takes orders from guests to the correct standard and up selling when appropriate
  • Ensures that all orders are delivered as quickly as possible and to the correct standard
  • Follows up with dining guest at the appropriate time and handles any special request promptly
  • Clears promptly all used crockery, cutlery and glassware at each stage of the meal to the correct standard
  • Offers and assists guests with service of hot and cold items from the buffet when appropriate
  • Assists with silver service for catered functions
  • Performs duties as required for catering functions in the Library, the Boardroom, the Pavilion and room service
  • Answers the restaurant’s telephone when required, to company standards, taking reservations and/or messages

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have previous hotel experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience as a server, preferably in fine dining
  • Be eligible to work in the US
