Reception Manager

We are currently looking for a Reception Manager to join our team at The Lodge at Ashford Castle

Key responsibilities include:

  • To be fully familiar with the front of house systems and procedures, ensuring that these are implemented consistently when on duty
  • To training, lead and motivate the team to ensure they carry out their duties in line with hotel standards
  • To support the Front Office Manager in leading & managing the operation in a hands-on capacity
  • To assist the reception team in dealing with all arrivals and all departures in a friendly and efficient manner in line with hotel standards
  • To support the reservations team in completion of reservations as required
  • To operate computerised system for reservations, arrivals and departures ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
  • To provide the guest, at all times, with the highest levels of guest care and personal attention, where possible anticipating the guests needs and initiating actions to exceed expectations where possible

The ideal candidate for the Reception Manager should:

  • Have previous Front Office Supervisory/Managerial experience
  • Have strong communication skills & attention to detail
  • Have the ability to handle busy situations and manage your workload effectively
  • Have previous experience in implementing and monitoring customer service standards, striving for excellence and consistency in front office service
  • Be enthusiastic & flexible (need to work 5 days over 7 day period, inclusive of weekends)
  • Be legally eligible to work in Ireland

The ideal candidate for the Reception Manager position will be a driven and motivated self-starter, who enjoys working within a friendly and productive team. This is a full time position, all candidates would need to be available to work five days a week between Monday and Sunday. .
