Guernsey’s only five star hotel, The Old Government House Hotel, in St Peter Port, is bringing a taste of the Alps to the Channel Islands with the launch of its brand new festive themed Alpine Lodge, now available for bookings from 1 December 2017 until 6 January 2018.
The luxury hotel’s private terrace will magically transform into a stylish and cosy Alpine Lodge, complete with snowy scenes, skis and sledges. The terrace will feature rustic wooden walls, a flickering fire, barrel tables and sofas with chunky rugs and fleeces, recreating the ultimate Alpine festive experience.
To visit the hotel’s Alpine Lodge, guests can purchase an Alpine Lodge Pass for £36 per person which includes access to the winter venue, plus a seasonal spread of treats such as braised beef goulash, chestnut stuffing and cranberry bites, stilton arancini and apple strudel. Visitors can also select from a range of après ski favourites including flavoured schnapps and vodkas, and winter warmers like mulled wine and cider.
The hotel will also be launching a social media competition in which guests can share a selfie using #OGHlodge on Twitter or Instagram for a chance to win a luxury two night stay at five star sister property, Hotel d’Angleterre in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Alpine Lodge is open from 17:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 12:00 Friday to Sunday, between 1 December 2017 and 6 January 2018.
