The Red Carnation Hotel Collection Awarded Third Place in the ‘Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For’ 2016

The Red Carnation Hotel Collection has been awarded third place in this year’s ‘Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For’. It is the fifth year in which The Red Carnation Hotel Collection has been recognised in the Best 100 Mid Companies list and third year running in a top ten position. The prestigious list measures and acknowledges excellence in workplace engagement. Red Carnation Hotels was the only hospitality brand to be featured on the 2016 podium for this category.

The prestigious list is compiled annually and hundreds of companies apply from a huge cross section of industries in the UK. The final list was derived from a Sunday Times survey of employee opinion polls and an evaluation of each organisation’s key statistics, processes and policies, with the results announced at a glittering ceremony at Battersea Evolution last night.

With 17 luxury boutique hotels in London, Dorset, Guernsey, Ireland, Geneva, South Africa and Florida, the family-run hotel group is the creation of Mrs. Beatrice Tollman, its President and Founder, and the name Red Carnation Hotel Collection was inspired by the flower famously worn in her husband’s lapel. A driving passion for genuine hospitality and service and her on-going involvement on the front line of her hotels is an inspiration to each member of staff. Investing in staff is given great importance and the highest levels of training, development and incentive are provided to ensure employee satisfaction.

Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotel Collection, said: “It is an enormous honour and thrill to be number three in the ‘Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For’, amongst such well respected companies from a broad range of industries.

We believe that our service proposition is what sets us apart, and our highly skilled teams who deliver on our promise of “No request too large, no detail too small” every single day. Keeping our staff happy, giving them a clear vision of the company’s values, and making them feel part of something is pivotal to the success of our business.

Red Carnation Hotels is a family-owned business, and staff are treated as part of the family too. This culture comes directly from the top, and our leader, Mrs. Tollman, prioritises staff wellbeing as highly as that of our guests. A big thank you and congratulations to her and our entire team, all of whom work so hard; I am very proud of each and every one of them."
